SURVIVOR CARAMOAN - THE HMS/SBC VERSION

It's been a long time dream of the group to set foot on one the famous tourist destination in Bicol, The Caramoan Islands. The planning took time, substantial deliberations and considerations considering the budget, the number of pax and the willingness of all the team members to join the activity. Finalization goes up and down but through the effort and determination of our Area Manager, Sir Arnold, the activity has been finalized. We are also very thankful to the HMS/SBC Company especially to Sir Jay Diego for realization of this activity.

DAY 1: LAND TRIP TO CARAMOAN
As agreed upon, the point of gathering was on Pili. The time of meet up was supposed to be 4:30am to avoid over exposure to the sun during travel but the "pinoy time" mentalty persisted so it's around 6:30am until the last member arrived. We departed Pili at around 6:45. Some want extra adventure that they preferred to rode their bikes going to Caramoan.

The road to Caramoan was not as easy as we thought. One should be an experienced and skilled driver to survive the mountainous terrain, highly inclined and zigzag roads, blind curves, deep ravines, remote areas and corrupted rough roads. But despite the road conditions it seemed that everyone, especially the bikers, were enjoying the ride.

After approximately 4 hours of uncomfortable ride, we reached the town of Caramaon and in a couple of minutes we finally reached Brgy. Paniman. Paniman is the starting point of all the adventures in the peninsula. This is where the boats-for-hire are gathering, hotel and guest houses are present and of course souvenir shops. From Paniman we took another 95 minutes by boat in order to reached Lahuy Island where Isla Soledad Resort (our place of destination) is located.

Along the way, you will be amazed of the beauty of Caramoan Islands. Fresh see breeze and crystal clear welcomes you as you travel going to the island. Long stretch white sands shorelines, inviting beaches,  mountainous green vegetation, amazing rock formations are some of the jaw dropping scenery of nature you will experience. Your cam will be running out of memory if you will capture all the views and scene along the ride.
All is geared up to Lahuy Island.

ARRIVAL AT ISLA SOLEDAD RESORT.

We reached our destination at around 11:30 am. Some members who did not took heavy breakfast for sure were starving this time. So, after disembarking, we immediately cook our lunch with the help of the locals. To make the cooking fast and easy, we just have pork-chicken adobo and  pre-cooked "laing" for lunch.

Everyone's enjoying the simple menu for lunch.

First destination after lunch was the Sand Bar at Cotivas Island. Despite the intense heat everybody was go on swimming on a clear warm water and enjoying the very fine sand.

After visiting 2 destinations for the day, the group went back to the resort for the preparation of food and  for the night time activities. Everybody took this free time for pictorials and bonding. Group presentation, awarding of top performers, bonfire, and drinking session were the activities scheduled for the night.
