ROAD TO JOROAN
Are you a devotee of Blessed Virgin Mary? Then, Joroan is one place to go to enhance your faith. Joroan, Tiwi, Albay is the home of the miraculous Our Lady of Salvation which feast day happens every 17th of August. Pilgrims from all over Bicol and other provinces came here to venerate the Blessed Virgin, strengthen their faith and some even hopefully ask for a life changing miracle. During fiesta, this little barangay becomes crowded. Aside from devotees from different places some scenery here are comparable to the feast of Our Lady of Penafrancia in Naga. Streets are occupied by vehicles, "tiangge" and vendors proliferate around the area, and long file of devotees wishing to touch the image of Nuestra Senora de Salvacion.
Aside from the main objective, which was to strengthen our faith, there's one thing more which we are excited to experience...the road to Joroan. From Pili, it will took you about 45 minutes drive to Sagnay. The exciting part is the mountainous terrain from Sagnay to Tiwi. Although the road is smooth, your uphill and downhill driving skills will be challenged in this road along with blind curves and deep ravines. Also along the way you will experience and appreciate the beauty of nature.
